Mr Sifiso Biya – Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sifiso Biya has over 18 years of experience in Job Title: Engineering Surveyor (Land Surveyor) and extensive experience in the engineering contractor field after. Mr. Sifiso Biya has experience in all theoretical and practical aspects of underground construction, viaduct construction, station construction, geodetically deformation measurement, 200 m deep underground cavern, Hydro. Electric Project, Metro railway Projects, TUNNELING (NATM, TBM & DBM), LNG, Thermal Power Plant and all type of survey etc.
Spending many years with established organisations in the industry discipline. He is driven by his passion for making what others dream of, come to life and become a reality. The company?s big aspiration is to empower young people to be able to make significant contributions to an industry that is almost foreign to them. We believe that many small but meaningful contributions can and will yield a big impact.
Mr. Sifiso Biya is a professional Engineering Surveyor, registered with PLATO SAGI (SA Geomatics) He holds a national Certificate in Civil Survey NQF Level 3, 4 and 5 from CIETS. Over the past years, Mr Sifiso Biya has participated in big projects solving some of the most challenging/meeting deadlines in the industry requiring his expertise.
He is well acquainted with various software systems pertaining to the trade including: Model Maker, Road Maker System, Caddie Profession V16, AutoCAD 2006, VBA and much more.
His ability as both as an engineer and business entrepreneur is the glue that has enables Babiya Geomatics and Civils to grow from its initial conceptualisation as a company to its current state.
Mrs Shirley Biya – Marketing Director
With over 9 years of experience in all aspects of business marketing, and a qualification in Information Technology, Mrs Shirley Biya has been responsible for the general marketing and management of Babiya from its initial establishment. As chief marketing director, she is at the forefront of excellence and excels in project management, scheduling, estimating and management. Her previous marketing experience management of various projects has left her with a keen appreciation of this process. Mrs Shirley Biya assumes primary responsibility for the overall management of all business activities and oversees all aspects of pricing, estimating and client liaison.

Babiya Geomatics and Civils Trading acknowledges and recognises all business laws and by-laws, the company therefore complies with all regulations, such as the Labour Relations Act, UIF, Employees Compensation, Occupational Safety, PAYE, VAT, income tax laws and other certificates which are required by the regulations such as BBBEE Certificate, NHBRC Certifi cate and the CIDB Certificate which are all required to operate.
